Tolleson Wealth Management Hosts Luncheon with Dr. Jim Grubman | Oct 24, 2012

Tolleson Wealth Management hosted a luncheon with Dr. Jim Grubman on Wednesday, October 24, 2012.

Dr. Jim Grubman, an internationally recognized wealth psychologist and family consultant, led a lively, humorous, and thought-provoking presentation about: the core elements in successful giving across generations, how to approach talking about wealth when you may not have done so yet, assessing heirs’ skills for handling large gifts and building a plan for their improvement, and learning to listen to the voices of the next generation (it may not be what you think).

Jim described best practices in wealth transfers used by successful families. He also led a Q & A about attendees’ own situations, giving practical advice for the real world. He was joined by Richard Joyner, President of Tolleson Wealth Management, for discussion about the ultimate goal for families: how to give wisely and well.

This event is a part of Tolleson Wealth Management’s Family Education Program. After many years of studying and working directly with affluent families, Tolleson Wealth Management realized there was a need that was not being addressed in the industry. The program’s goal is to educate and bring awareness to the unique and complex dynamics affluent families face.

Tolleson Wealth Management Hosts Luncheon with Peter Buffett | May 23, 2012

Tolleson Wealth Management hosted a private luncheon event with Peter Buffett on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

Emmy award-winning musician and philanthropist Peter Buffett, son of billionaire investor Warren Buffett, bases his “A Concert & Conversation” performance on his new book called Life is What You Make It: Find Your Own Path to Fulfillment. Peter feels the only real inheritance handed down from his parents was a philosophy: Forge your own path in life. It is a creed that has allowed him to follow his own passions, establish his own identity, and reap his own successes.

This event is a part of The Tolleson Wealth Management Family Education Program. The Tolleson Wealth Management Family Education Program was created when Tolleson Wealth Management executives saw a need that was not being addressed in the industry. After many years of studying and working directly with affluent families, Tolleson Wealth Management executives started a program to educate Tolleson clients and employees on the unique and complex dynamics affluent families face.
