Tolleson Wealth Management Taps Susan Jenevein as New Director of Philanthropy

Tolleson Wealth Management is pleased to announce the hiring of Susan Jenevein as director of philanthropy. Jenevein will create and implement strategies to provide administrative and operational support for charitable organizations as well as manage Tolleson Wealth Management’s donor-advised fund services, which offer individuals, families and family foundations a simplified and highly personalized approach to giving.

“The philanthropic efforts of our clients impact a tremendous number of organizations and individuals, and therefore it is vital that the person serving as our director of philanthropy have their finger on the pulse of all facets of charitable giving,” said Carter Tolleson, CEO of Tolleson Wealth Management. “With Susan, we hired an individual with tremendous experience in this space with more than two decades of working with charitable organizations, donors and fundraising teams.”

As director of philanthropy, Jenevein will serve the private foundations of the families of Tolleson Wealth Management clients and oversee the activities of the firm’s private-label donor-advised fund. As Tolleson Wealth Management’s charitable planning professional, she will work closely with other divisions of the firm to ensure that clients’ charitable needs are met seamlessly. Specific job duties include working with boards of directors to guide philanthropic activities, educating and advising donors on charitable matters, developing and maintaining relationships with external philanthropic professionals, and developing new business opportunities to support strategic growth.

Before joining Tolleson Wealth Management, Jenevein was most recently director of development at Cristo Rey Dallas College Prep and was previously executive director at Genesis Women’s Shelter and a principal at The Wells Firm. She received a BBA in finance and a BA in Plan II from the University of Texas at Austin and a J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
