Eric Bennett is the Executive Director of the Brain Performance Institute, which is part of the Center for Brain Health. These organizations focus on research and training to maximize the potential of the brain for healthily brain aging, brain disease, and brain injury.
Eric is the cofounder of Tolleson Wealth Management and serves on the Board of Directors for Tolleson Private Bank and Tolleson Wealth Management. He also is on the firm’s Investment Committee and serves as a Special Advisor to the firm.
Eric has over 25 years in the wealth management industry, focusing on providing objective investment, tax, estate and financial planning advice to wealthy individuals. He began his career with Coopers and Lybrand in 1987 after earning a finance degree with honors from the University of Missouri. He later joined the Dallas office of Ernst & Young, where he served as Senior Manager of the Personal Finance Planning Group and led the firm’s Southwest Area Investment Advisory Services team. Eric spent 15 years at Tolleson Wealth Management and was the Chairman and CEO of Tolleson Private Wealth Management before joining the Brain Performance Institute.
Eric is a Chartered Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant*, Personal Financial Specialist and an Investment Advisor Representative. In the Dallas community, he serves on the Board of Directors for The University of Texas Dallas (UTD) Center for BrainHealth, and the Planned Giving Councils for Children’s Medical Center and Communities Foundation of Texas. He formerly served on the investment committees for The Dallas Symphony Foundation and Communities Foundation of Texas. As a wealth management industry leader, Eric serves on several national committees of wealth management groups, has appeared on CNBC, and is frequently quoted in financial publications.
