Pamela H. Patsley was Senior Executive Vice President of First Data from March 2000 to October 2007, and president of First Data International from May 2002 to October 2007. In 2002, Pam assumed executive management responsibility for all of First Data’s international activities in the merchant and issuer processing and ATM network services businesses. In just five years, she led First Data International to become the largest worldwide payments processor outside the U.S., with operations in 39 countries. From March 2000 to May 2002, Pam served as President of First Data Merchant Services, which included merchant transaction processing, merchant sales, point-of-sale terminal deployment, and check verification and guarantee services.
Prior to joining First Data, Pam was president and Chief Executive Officer for Paymentech, Inc. and a founding director of the company. The dollar value of transactions processed by the company jumped from $5.2 billion in 1991 to $93.3 billion in 1999. Pam guided the effort behind Paymentech’s initial public offering in March of 1996. Pam began her payments industry career in 1985 as a founding officer of the retail banking and marketing division of MCorp, which ultimately became First USA, Inc. She served as Chief Financial Officer of the parent company from 1987 to April 1994, and as head of the payment processing division, Paymentech, beginning in 1991.
Prior to joining the payments industry, Pam worked Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and auditor at KPMG-Peat Marwick in the St. Louis, Missouri, and Dallas, Texas, offices for nearly six years.
Pam serves on the Board of Directors of the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group, Inc., and Tolleson Wealth Management. She is a member of the Board of Governors & Trustees for the Southwest Region Boys and Girls Clubs of America. She is also an active participant in the Young Presidents’ and World Presidents’ Organizations. Pam holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration in accounting from the University of Missouri. Pam and her husband Gary have three children.
