Managing Director, Client Advisory Team
Todd Clendening serves as a primary contact, financial strategist and coordinator for wealth management and family office services. He manages the financial planning advice and oversight process for clients by identifying, implementing and monitoring strategies that meet each client’s specific needs.
Todd is an acting member of the firm’s Investment Committee, which establishes and monitors all asset allocation, manager selection/retention and other portfolio management decisions made on behalf of each wealth management client. Todd is also a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, which oversees the strategic and operational matters of the entire Company. His career advising wealthy families spans more than 25 years.
Prior to joining Tolleson Wealth Management, Todd was a co-founder of a successful Dallas based investment advisory firm where he served as a managing director. Prior to that, Todd spent more than 19 years as a managing director in the private client services group of Deutsche Bank Alex Brown where he delivered investment and financial planning services to high net worth families, executives and entrepreneurs.
Todd earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree with concentrations in both investment finance and accounting from Texas Tech University. In addition, Todd has completed the Securities Institute Association’s program at the Wharton Business School.
Todd has served on the board of trustees of the Dallas Zoological Society and the St. Alcuin Montessori School of Dallas in addition to membership within the Leadership Council for the Children’s Medical Center of Dallas.
