As Chief Talent and Learning Officer, Jeff Strese serves as a strategic business partner to senior leaders and all lines of business to improve organizational effectiveness and employee engagement. His focus is on the strategic design and implementation of human capital initiatives, learning systems and family education programs that focus on the well-being of our client families. These focus areas are not only important in Strese’s role at the firm, but are carried over into his community involvement.
Strese leads by example, as seen through his involvement with Teach for America-DFW. He has served on the organization’s advisory board for more than two years and has been involved with them for more than five years providing training and executive coaching. As a board member, he helps define the organization’s vision and strategy. He also works as a practitioner, giving support to their leadership team. This “in kind” work provided by Strese occurs intermittently in sessions throughout the year. The sessions are fun, motivational and challenging, with the purpose of developing leadership skills and affirming work ethic and contributions. He is passionate about providing encouragement and support to the Teach for America executive leaders and corps members, as he feels they need support and recognition. Strese’s career is built on developing leaders, both in the office and in the community.
“There are many selfless leaders on the Teach for America board. Those leaders, with the executive team, produce a sustainable, passionate commitment,” said Strese. He meets with the Executive Director regularly, providing guidance on strategy, team building and organization well-being.
Tolleson Wealth Management is passionate about community involvement through the work of senior leaders. Strese hopes they will continue to use their strengths and leadership on boards to support various organizations in the community.
