Last month, Lemonade Day came to Dallas with the goal to teach kids how to start, own and operate their own businesses. Lemonade Day of Greater Dallas operates with the goal of empowering youth to become productive members of society. Local kids received material from the organization to teach them lessons such as creating budgets, setting goals, serving customers and repaying investors. They took these lessons and applied them to their own lemonade stands that were open for business on Saturday, May 5.
Tolleson Wealth Management supported the organization by sponsoring the “Best Stand” award, given to ‘Lemondae Celeste,’ a stand in South Dallas. Employees visited the stands and gave support to the children running the stands for the day. The award was presented to the stand’s owner along with a gift basket.
The firm is dedicated to giving back to the Dallas community through organizations such as Lemonade Day throughout the year through sponsorships and support. This event was specifically supported through Tolleson Wealth Management’s young professionals group, who is passionate about growing the entrepreneurs of the future.
