Each year, Tolleson Wealth Management presents a Community Service Award to the employee with the most amount of service hours to recognize the hard work and impact made giving back to the local community. The selected recipient of this award receives a $1,000 grant for the charity of his or her choice.

Tolleson Private Bank’s BSA Analyst Suzy Poile received this grant for her work with Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. She logged more than 160 hours in 2019, earning her the Community Service Award earlier this year. Suzy has volunteered at the Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue for two and a half years, helping the lives of dogs and their future adopting families. Due to her service, she chose this organization to receive the grant.

Suzy’s work with the Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue impacts dogs, specifically bulldogs, and helps to find them their forever homes. “Each adopting family is checked to make sure each dog gets the best home for them. [The Rescue] is more like a family and each volunteer cares deeply about the wellbeing of each dog that comes into the Rescue,” explained Suzy.

“I enjoy giving back because it doesn’t take much effort to help someone less fortunate than you,” Suzy mentions, as she is passionate about volunteering with the Lone Star Bulldog Club Rescue. “Dogs have always been my biggest love (Bulldogs in particular) and they are unable to fend for themselves. I love seeing a totally shut down bulldog slowly start to come out of their shell and experience family life for the first time.”

Tolleson Wealth Management is proud to honor employees and their community service. The firm was recently recognized by Invest in Others Charitable Foundation on the 2019 Charitable Champions List as an advisory firm doing great efforts to help the community. Supporting employees who are passionate about serving others and their community is a core belief under the mission of serving others.
