On Saturday, April 25, employees from Tolleson Wealth Management biked, ran and walked the 2015 Red Balloon Run and Ride event benefiting Children’s Health. The firm was a corporate 100 for 100 team, raising more than $10,500 for the organization. Employees participated in both the bike rally and the 5K race. This year, Children’s Health celebrated 100 years of providing care and help for children and employees were excited to participate in the milestone celebration. “I wanted to help support the many programs offered at Children’s Health,” said Joyce Worthington, Vice President of Lobby Services at Tolleson Private Bank. Worthington, along with more than 70 employees and their families helped create team spirit and show support at the event, which even included a team tent decorating contest.

One week prior to the event, Tolleson Wealth Management launched an employee wellness campaign, and participating in Red Balloon Run and Ride helped employees add some extra activity to their week. Shannon Fahey, Office Manager at Tolleson Wealth Management said, “I ended up walking over 19,000 steps that day!” The event not only supported a great organization, but brought employees and families together to be active and healthy. “My favorite part was being with coworkers and doing something healthy and fun together,” said Fahey.
