On May 14, employees spent the day at Junior Achievement of Dallas’ Finance Park helping students from MacArthur High School learn about building and maintaining personal budgets. The Finance Park program consists of an interactive, real-world simulation that shows students how to manage monthly expenses such as rent/mortgage, car payments, insurance, savings, entertainment, groceries and more! Through this activity, students learn how education, hard work and savings all work together to create a successful financial future.

Volunteers worked closely with students throughout the activity and were able to pass along their personal experiences and knowledge about finances. “I like knowing that the few pieces of advice we passed on could have a great impact on the students’ lives,” said Reaghan Belfour, Credit Analyst at Tolleson Private Bank. “It was a great day and I highly recommend others to get involved. Teaching young students about financial responsibility is probably the simplest, yet most influential act we can do to give back to our community, and I’m happy to be at a company that believes in doing so.”
