Managing Director Jennifer Kirksey Receives Employee Community Service Award for Impact in Dallas Community
Tolleson Wealth Management is proud to celebrate Managing Director of Wealth Operations Jennifer Kirksey for her work with Junior League of Dallas. Each year, an employee is chosen for the annual Community Service Award that recognizes hard work, dedication, and impact made giving back to the local community. As a result, the firm grants one outstanding employee a $1,000 donation to the charity of his or her choice. This year, Kirksey was selected.
Kirksey has volunteered with Junior League of Dallas for more than 12 years, serving both in the community as well as within the Dallas chapter, referred by its members as ‘the League.’ Junior League of Dallas is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. As part of her organization service, Kirksey spent the first six years mentoring and tutoring disadvantaged girls through Promise House and Our Friends Place. She chose to shift her volunteer efforts to the organization directly by supporting the Finance Committee in various roles, recently serving on the Board as Finance Vice President.
“The Junior League has impacted me in so many ways, being a part of an organization of strong, intelligent, and like-minded women has been one of my greatest joys,” Kirksey shared. “Not only does the League do amazing things in the community by providing funding of more than $1 million annually to local agencies and providing 130,000+ hours of volunteer hours, but they provide leadership training that has assisted me in my personal and professional life.”
Tolleson Wealth Management is proud to support employee volunteer efforts, giving 20 hours of paid volunteer time each year. The firm launched its first annual company-wide service project called Tolleson Team Serves in 2020 to bring teams together through for the local community and was successful despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The firm is proud of its employees and their continued desired to help others.
