We recently posted about the Coronavirus (Covid-19) and the public fear that has affected the financial markets. Historically, viruses like this cause widespread human and economic impact until outbreaks are better controlled. Recently, the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the Coronavirus a Public Health Emergency of international concern, with nearly 90,000 cases confirmed – mostly concentrated in China. However, confirmed cases exist in 57 countries including the United States, according to WHO officials.

As the global spread of the Coronavirus continues, governments, the scientific community, and nonprofits are focused on containing the virus, providing relief to those impacted, educating the populations at risk, and researching possible vaccinations.
