Eric Bennett, CPA*, CFA, is Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of the Investment Committee for Tolleson Wealth Management. He also serves on the Executive Committee and the firm’s Board of Directors. He brings more than 30 years of experience in wealth management, investment management and philanthropy.

Eric began working with John Tolleson’s single-family office in 1998 before co-founding Tolleson Wealth Management in 2000. He was Chief Executive Officer for the firm’s private wealth management division until 2013, playing a key, decision-maker role for investment strategy, asset allocation and manager selection. In 2013, Eric became the founding Executive Director of the Brain Performance Institute at the Center for BrainHealth, a University of Texas System organization. He was an active volunteer at the Center for BrainHealth for ten years and joined full-time in a leadership role to build and grow the Institute. Under his direction, the Institute substantially increased visibility and credibility in the community. He re-joined Tolleson Wealth Management full time in 2017 in his current role of Chief Investment Officer.

Eric began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in 1987 after earning a bachelor’s degree in Finance with honors from the University of Missouri. He later joined Ernst & Young, where he served as Senior Manager for private clients and led the firm’s Southwest Area Investment Advisory Services team.

Eric is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Certified Public Accountant* (CPA). He is on the Executive Committee for the Center for BrainHealth, a Strategic Advisor to Impact Shares and an Operating Partner for Satori Capital. He is also a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), having served on the executive board of his YPO chapter for four years. He formerly served on the investment committees for the Baylor University Endowment, the Dallas Symphony Foundation and Communities Foundation of Texas in addition to serving on the boards of several private companies, including the financing services, retail and media industries.
