Tim Stobaugh, CFA®, serves as Director on the Investment Team at Tolleson Wealth Management. His responsibilities include assisting with the execution of the firm’s investment research process, asset allocation, manager selection/retention and overall portfolio management. He is directly involved in sourcing, analyzing, selecting and monitoring both public and private equity investment opportunities on behalf of the firm’s clients.
Prior to joining Tolleson Wealth Management, Tim spent nine years as a portfolio manager of equity-focused investment partnerships. In his capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of due diligence, security selection, portfolio management, risk management and trading activities. He co-founded and was managing partner of Greenstone Value Opportunity Fund, LP, and was a portfolio manager for Crescent Special Situations Fund, LP. Prior to his investment management experience, Tim spent 11 years as an investment banker at Stonegate Securities, Inc., where he assisted public companies in raising capital through the debt and equity capital markets.
Tim graduated cum laude from Trinity University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is registered as a Chartered Financial Analyst®.
