Our thoughts are with those affected by the tornadoes and severe weather that occurred in the Dallas-Fort Worth area on December 26. If you are interested in supporting the relief efforts, our Philanthropy Services Team has compiled information regarding the best ways to help and donate.

To ensure that your charitable dollars will be used wisely and effectively, donations should be made to well-established, qualified charities with a proven track record. Too often, fraudulent organizations that look like legitimate charities are set up to accept donations from well-meaning people in times of emergencies and disasters. Tolleson Wealth Management’s dedicated Philanthropy Services Team is available to help evaluate the best way to carry out your charitable intentions and to facilitate your donations.

Monetary donations really are the most efficient way to support immediate, short-term relief efforts. Both the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army can accept these donations and quickly put them to use. Donations may also be made to the Salvation Army to support long-term recovery through their work rebuilding uninsured or underinsured residential property. To volunteer or donate supplies, visit Garland Recovers, Rowlett Recovers and Copeville Recovers.
