On March 23, employees spent the day at Junior Achievement of Dallas’ Finance Park helping more than 45 high school students from Garland ISD learn about building and maintaining personal budgets. The Finance Park program consists of an interactive, real-world simulation that shows students how to manage monthly expenses such as rent/mortgage, car payments, insurance, savings, entertainment, groceries and more! Through this activity, students learn how education, hard work and savings all work together to create a successful financial future. “I really enjoyed the opportunity to engage with so many talented young adults eager to learn basic financial skills,” said Steve Moushon, Vice President at Tolleson Private Bank. “The students absorbed the life lessons of continuing education, planning and budgeting skills, as well as saving for emergencies and eventual retirement.”
