Tolleson Team Serves Partners with Jubilee Park & Community Center

At Tolleson, service is more than a core value; it’s something our team does every day.

During our annual campaign called Tolleson Team Serves, employees are encouraged to engage with our Community Partner through a series of volunteer opportunities. Participating in these activities allows teams to work together and contribute in a special way.

This year, Tolleson was proud to support Jubilee Park & Community Center. This nonprofit organization originated to revitalize a 62-block area in Southeast Dallas that had been historically isolated from resources. This neighborhood, once deeply affected by industrial closures and infrastructure changes, needed support to rebuild. Efforts are focused on collaboratively providing care and education for children, housing and workforce assistance, health and wellness programs, and general support for all ages.

Tolleson Teams were deployed across different areas to help support a variety of community initiatives.

“Tolleson’s dedication to volunteering this fall has been incredible,” said Marissa Castro Mikoy, President & CEO of Jubilee Park & Community Center. “From helping families shop in the food pantry and serving hot meals for seniors to spending time with students at our on-site Head Start Centers, their team has made a real difference in the lives of our neighbors.”

The mission of Jubilee Park & Community Center continues to be a catalyst for comprehensive community-led revitalization and enrichment in Southeast Dallas. Community centers like Jubilee Park & Community Center provide critical resources for the neighborhood and help to improve the quality of life for its residents. This collaboration with Jubilee Park & Community Center provided employees a meaningful chance to engage with the organization and demonstrate the impact of service.
