Starting this summer, Tolleson Wealth Management and Tolleson Private Bank are hosting classes for senior citizens and students at Wesley-Rankin Community Center. The free classes are taught to groups of about 20 under-served citizens in the community.

This month, a class titled “Elder Financial Exploitation Training” was taught by members of the firm’s Client Bookkeeping, Private Bank and Client Advisory Teams. The presentation was given in Spanish and they discussed why senior citizens might be targets for financial exploitation, what types of scams are common and how to spot them. Tips and advice for protecting from scams and what to do if you find yourself to be a victim of a scam were given to the attendees.

Tolleson Wealth Management believes in providing resources to the community and giving back. As part of our efforts to align our philanthropic impact, Wesley-Rankin Community Center is an organization that we have partnered with since early 2017 to better serve the Dallas-area community.
