Tolleson Wealth Management hosted WE Charity founder and Social Entrepreneur Craig Kielburger for a recent Family Education Speaker Series event at Dallas Country Club. Craig gave valuable insights to the audience about how to involve the rising generation in philanthropic activities and how to ‘make caring cool.’ He told stories that ranged from speaking with Nelson Mandela and Mother Theresa, to appearing on the Oprah Winfrey show several times. He gave applicable suggestions to strengthen family traditions of giving and helping make a positive impact.

Susan Jenevein, Director of Philanthropy, moderated a conversation with Craig about evolving philanthropic trends and how to get more families involved with philanthropy. Craig gave examples about how his family works together despite differences in age and interests, for the greater good of the community. “We are passionate about helping our client families find ways to make a philanthropic impact,” said Susan. “Craig has provided opportunities that are inspiring and easy to incorporate into family giving strategies.”
