Tolleson Family Education Speaker Series hosted Barbara Bush and Jenna Bush Hager for a lunch event on Wednesday, May 2. The sisters participated in a moderated conversation with Carter Tolleson, CEO of Tolleson Wealth Management, at the Bush Institute.

Growing up in the public eye and as members of one of the nation’s largest political families, Barbara and Jenna discussed topics such as values and family legacy. Starting with their grandfather George H.W. Bush and then their father George W. Bush, the sisters discussed how their family values are deep rooted over generations. Those roots have impacted their own life choices.

The warm, funny and authentic conversation was centered around sharing impactful family stories. They discussed how the family values learned from their parents and grandparents shaped their own life decisions and values. Barbara and Jenna gave the audience insights into what made their parents and grandparents successful and spoke about their book Sisters First. Audience members were able to step into their lives and learn about how they have been able to reach success by learning from family values.

This conversation about family legacy aligns with Tolleson Family Education Speaker Series’ initiatives to equip affluent families with strategies to address the complexities of substantial wealth.
