Tolleson Wealth Management is pleased to welcome Brent Young on its growing Portfolio Strategist Team. Bringing 15 years of relevant experience, he will join the client’s core service team, focusing specifically on investment-related advice.

Over the last decade, Young held portfolio management roles and worked closely with clients to develop and manage customized, goal-based investment portfolios. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Frost Bank, where he also led their alternative investment offering. Young joins a team of portfolio strategists that includes Andrew Puryear and Tim Stobaugh.

Andrew Puryear joined Tolleson Wealth Management in 2021 after spending nearly a decade at UBS Financial Services Inc., where he was most recently a Senior Wealth Strategy Associate in the Private Wealth Management division. He focused on developing and implementing customized portfolios and investment solutions for high net-worth individuals and private foundations.

Tim Stobaugh, who joined Tolleson Wealth Management in 2013, previously served seven years as a director on the company’s investment research team. He was integral in leading the firm’s efforts on public and private investment opportunities. Stobaugh transitioned to the portfolio strategist role in 2020, focusing his work directly with clients on their customized investment solutions.

Portfolio strategists partner with the company’s advisory team to work directly with client families, customizing portfolio allocations and reviewing private investment opportunities. Knowledgeable of capital markets, portfolio construction, and economic landscape, they play an important role in building portfolios that help clients meet their financial goals.

“Having a portfolio strategist on the client’s core advisory team aligns with our service-centric approach and deepens the overall experience for clients,” explained Stobaugh. “It allows for better collaboration and access to investment strategies.”

As a complement to the comprehensive services offered by the in-house, multi-disciplinary team, Tolleson Wealth Management’s portfolio strategists work cohesively with advisors to help accomplish client goals. Their critical role supports the firm’s commitment to enhancing the client experience.
