
Tim Stobaugh
Tim Stobaugh, CFA, is a Managing Director and Portfolio Strategist on the Client Advisory Team. He serves as a client advisor, working closely with clients on all investment-related matters, including coordinating portfolio allocation strategy and implementation.
Prior to moving over to the Client Advisory Team, Tim spent seven years at Tolleson Wealth Management as Director on the Investment Team. His responsibilities included assisting with the execution of the firm’s investment research process, asset allocation, manager selection/retention, and overall portfolio management. He serves on the firm’s Investment Committee and Trust Investment Committee.
Before joining Tolleson Wealth Management, Tim spent nine years as a portfolio manager of equity- focused investment partnerships. In his capacity, he was responsible for all aspects of due diligence, security selection, portfolio management, risk management, and trading activities. He co-founded and was managing partner of Greenstone Value Opportunity Fund, LP, and was a portfolio manager for Crescent Special Situations Fund, LP. Prior to his investment management experience, Tim spent 11 years as an investment banker at Stonegate Securities, Inc., where he assisted public companies in raising capital through the debt and equity capital markets.
Tim graduated cum laude from Trinity University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is registered as a Chartered Financial Analyst. He lives in Dallas with his wife and two daughters and enjoys playing golf and tennis.
