CEO Carter Tolleson Named Distinguished Alumnus by SMU’s Graduate School of Banking

CEO Carter Tolleson has been named the 2026 Distinguished Alumnus Award recipient by the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU Cox School of Business, one of the nation’s premier executive education programs for financial services leaders.

The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the school’s highest honor and recognizes graduates whose leadership, integrity, and service have made a meaningful impact on their organizations and communities. Carter is the youngest recipient in the history of the award, a reflection of his influence within the industry and his commitment to long‑term stewardship. 

As CEO, Carter leads the Tolleson team with a focus on high‑touch, comprehensive financial solutions rooted in trust, personalized service, and enduring relationships. His leadership philosophy closely aligns with the mission of SWGSB—developing principled leaders who strengthen institutions and serve others well. 

The award will be formally presented during the 2026 session of the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU Cox in late May. 

This recognition honors not only Carter’s professional journey, but also the values that guide Tolleson every day: thoughtful leadership, long‑term perspective, and a deep responsibility to clients and community alike.
