Carter Tolleson is promoted to Chief Executive Officer and Richard Joyner to President of Tolleson Wealth Management, the parent company for Tolleson Private Wealth Management and Tolleson Private Bank. They have been leading the firm’s day-to-day activities for several years and have played an important role in the growth and success of Tolleson Wealth Management.

In a letter from John Tolleson to employees and clients, he writes, “I’m extremely proud of the job Carter and Richard have done and the roles they have played in the success of our firm. They, along with the strength and depth of the management team supporting them, have laid the groundwork to support our client families for generations to come.”

With this change, John Tolleson moves to the role of Executive Chairman of the Board and will continue to serve in an oversight capacity. Carter and Richard will also maintain their direct leadership responsibilities with the Private Bank and Private Wealth Management, respectively.

Tolleson Wealth Management started as a single-family office 20 years ago and as a multi-family office 17 years ago. Since that time, the firm has steadily grown over time and added valuable services for clients such as trust services, tax advisory and prep, philanthropic services, estate planning and robust bookkeeping and bill pay services. Throughout the years, the firm’s vision remains the same: to serve its clients. “Our future is extremely bright as we continue to move forward under Carter and Richard’s leadership,” writes John Tolleson.
