Josh Coury, Managing Director on the Client Advisory Team, was named to Family Wealth Alliance’s 2024 Class of Young Professionals. This program honors professionals under 40 years old that are shaping the family wealth industry.

“A mentor once advised me to remember what’s most important to the client when working with them,” Josh comments in his interview. “As advisors, we tend to focus on estate planning, tax planning, and investments – but the things that clients often find most impactful may relate to their health and well-being of their family members. Understanding that aspect makes the relationship more meaningful, and that’s the approach we continually take at Tolleson.”

Since joining the firm in 2013, Josh has worked collaboratively with senior leaders and peers to serve clients with excellence and dedication. Josh leads various firm initiatives, serves on several key committees, and coaches and mentors emerging leaders. As a managing director, Josh is one of the three key leaders responsible for oversight of the firm’s largest teams in addition to being a lead advisor for clients. Josh continues to play a valuable leadership role for Tolleson and its service-focused mission. He has the deep admiration of advisors and team members and is oftentimes sought out for mentoring and coaching.

We applaud Josh for his achievements and for embodying our firm’s values as a leader recognized by the Family Wealth Alliance.

Award Disclosures: Award winners were announced in October 2024 and had to be under the age of 40 as of January 1, 2024, and employed at an SFO, MFO, or established multifamily wealth practice. Nominees were judged based on an application and letter of support that demonstrated success in their careers and contributions to the industry. Applications were judged based on equally weighted criteria averaged together to calculate their overall score by a panel of seven volunteer judges considered industry veterans. Weighting was executed by a computerized scoring system and judges were to provide their unbiased assessment on each candidate. A total of 25 honorees were named by Family Wealth Alliance to the 2024 class. Tolleson did not pay to participate in this award program.
