Tolleson Promotes Key Leaders in Technology, Investment Advisory
When asked what the best part about his job, Tolleson’s recently promoted Deputy Chief Technology Officer Owen Smith answered: “I enjoy working with a great team dedicated to finding creative ways to solve technical challenges.” Owen, who has spent nearly 20 years building his career at Tolleson, has played a critical role in shaping firm operations for increased efficiency and technology integration.
Owen is responsible for the Business Applications Team and will continue to lead strategically in his new role as Deputy CTO. His team focuses on evaluating, implementing, and integrating technology platforms to enhance operational processes. Owen began his career at Tolleson as a summer intern and later became an Analyst on the Client Advisory Team. His beginnings in client advisory helped strengthen his experiences and have been instrumental in his leadership of business operations management. As Deputy CTO, Owen will continue to drive efficiency and process enhancements for Tolleson.
Tim Stobaugh, as a new Managing Director, is helping drive innovation and leadership as a portfolio strategist on Tolleson’s Client Advisory Team.
Portfolio strategists partner with Tolleson’s client advisory team to work directly with client families on their investment strategy, customizing portfolio allocations and reviewing private investment opportunities. Knowledgeable of capital markets, portfolio construction, and economic landscape, portfolio strategists play an important role in building portfolios to help clients meet their financial goals.
Tim, who previously served as Director on the Investment Team, has a deep background in investment research, asset allocation, and portfolio management. Since his hire in 2013, he has helped design how investment data and strategies are delivered to clients. Before joining Tolleson, Tim was a portfolio manager of equity-focused investment partnerships as well as an investment banker at Stonegate Securities, Inc. In his new role as Managing Director, Tim will continue working with the portfolio strategist team to mold longer-term vision and goals.
